Six Follow Jesus after Receiving the Gift of Clean Water

Leningrado, Chiapas, Mexico—On a day filled with gratitude and rejoicing, six villagers in the small farming town of Leningrado decided to follow Christ as their Savior!

Among the people who made decisions to become members of God’s family was a man who no one expected—Ramon Hernandez. Ramon’s hard heart was well-known to the people of Leningrado, but it was softened to the good news about Jesus after receiving the gift of clean water!

Pastor Carlos from the local church of Iglesia Solo Cristo Salva was aware of the spiritual and physical needs of the 61 families in Leningrado. Their closest water source, a contaminated river, made simple tasks like washing dishes, cooking, and bathing difficult and unsafe. The children of the village were especially vulnerable to illness. HOPE Coffee partnered with the local church to provide clean water filtration systems for the entire village!

As the clean water systems were distributed, Pastor Carlos and members of the church shared God’s message of hope with the village. Because you chose to partner with HOPE Coffee, six people now live as members of God’s family.
