Mexican Believers are Eager to Share the Gospel
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. – Romans 15:13
God has prepared Abelardo (pictured above with Darrol Prusia, Camino Global missionary) for this moment in time to help establish the ministry of HOPE Coffee in Mexico. Through this first project, the church members were able to witness additional opportunities to share the gospel when two additional friends of the family stopped in to see the work. One lady commented that she never wanted to hear about Christianity, but that these Christians are somehow different because they help others. Now she has begun attending church. Another man asked, “Why do Christians help this family?” After learning more, he decided to help weld the legs of the water tower and heard the gospel in the process.
As Abelardo has shared about the HOPE Coffee Ministry with other pastors, 14 other churches have signed up to share the gospel in their community through projects like these. One church member shared that “The ministry of HOPE Coffee is like a ring to my finger.” which is a Mexican phrase meaning, “It fits the purpose of the church like a glove.”
Three more projects are currently in process in Honduras as Kike, our coffee shop manager and pastor in Honduras, works with the Honduran churches. Thank you for being partners with HOPE Coffee for the advancement of the gospel! We couldn’t do it without you. Keep drinking HOPE Coffee and Compassion Tea!
